Matosinhos awarded by ODSlocal Platform

ODSlocal Seal in the category of "Municipal Dynamics" recognized the work carried out by the municipality.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Platform, ODSlocal, distinguished, during the "Pathways, Dynamics, Futures" conference held in Loulé, the municipalities that promoted and developed "sets of good practices and demonstrated a high degree of commitment to local sustainability" in order to achieve the SDGs. In addition to the awards, the Platform granted ODSlocal Seals, a certification that recognizes municipalities that demonstrate a high degree of commitment to local sustainability in the categories of "Municipal Performance" and "Municipal Dynamics".
Matosinhos received the ODSlocal Seal in the category of "Municipal Dynamics" for its outstanding presentation of the most positive dynamics of progress in the indicators of the ODSlocal Portal. The award was presented to the Mayor of Matosinhos, Luísa Salgueiro.
The ODSlocal Platform aims to mobilize municipalities and relevant entities for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the United Nations' Agenda 2030 at the local level.
The platform is the result of a partnership between the National Council for the Environment and Sustainable Development (CNADS), OBSERVA - Observatory for Environment, Territory and Society (ICS-University of Lisbon), MARE - Center for Marine and Environmental Sciences at the University Nova de Lisboa, and 2adapt - Climate Adaptation Services, with the support of the "la Caixa" Foundation.
The awards promoted by the Platform aim to distinguish inspiring sustainability projects and good practices from civil society and municipalities in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
