Matosinhos hosted an important international conference that brought together over 20 national and international experts in the fields of politics, energy, architecture, finance, economics, and innovation. The Sustainability and Society Forum took place at the Noble Hall of the Town Hall and was jointly organized by the Global Media Group, Galp, CGD, INATEL Foundation, BEL Group, and Matosinhos City Council.
The event featured renowned speakers such as Nobel Peace Prize laureate Muhammad Yunus, European Commissioners Kadri Simson and Elisa Ferreira, President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, Minister of Environment and Climate Action Duarte Cordeiro, Secretary of State for Digitization and Administrative Modernization Mário Campolargo, as well as Matosinhos Mayor Luísa Salgueiro, among many other confirmed speakers.
The conference was divided into three panels addressing the themes of "Global Trends in Energy," "Building a Sustainable and Inclusive Future," and "Goals and Policies for a Sustainable Europe."
