Matosinhos Marks its Presence at B-Travel, the Prestigious International Tourism Fair in Barcelona

Matosinhos marked its presence at B-Travel, the emblematic international tourism fair that took place in Barcelona, between the 24th and 26th of March.
Integrating with the joint representation of the Porto and North of Portugal Regional Tourism Entity, Matosinhos made its mark throughout the entire event, held at the imposing Montjuic venue in Barcelona. It was a concerted effort to promote the municipality to international visitors, highlighting its strategic products: remarkable gastronomy, popular water sports, Santiago's Way trails, and unique contemporary architecture.
Throughout the three-day event, the delegation of the Matosinhos City Council actively endeavoured to showcase the municipality, conducting a series of promotional actions. The objective was to highlight the uniqueness of Matosinhos, without ever forgetting the local gastronomy, symbolised by the appreciated tastings of our canned goods, which so fittingly represent the Matosinhos World's Best Fish brand.
In these actions, the municipal team provided visitors with a comprehensive insight into what makes Matosinhos a top tourist destination. From the distribution of promotional materials to strategic meetings, through the conducting of workshops, each activity aimed to broaden the visibility of the municipality and its various tourist potentialities.
One of the biggest attractions undoubtedly resulted from the tastings of local canned goods, a distinctive feature of the "Matosinhos World's Best Fish" brand. The opportunity to taste a selection of the best canned goods produced in Matosinhos allowed visitors an authentic gastronomic experience, highlighting the city's strong connection to maritime culture.
