The Matosinhos City Council once again treated lovers of good cuisine with the Seafood edition of the "Taste Matosinhos" Menu, an initiative initially conceived with the aim of supporting the restaurant sector, which was severely affected by pandemic containment measures.
Recalling the success of the first edition of Taste Matosinhos - Seafood, the municipality bet again on this initiative, reiterating its support for Matosinhos' seafood restaurants and valuing the preponderant role that fresh seafood plays in local cuisine.
In a total of 17 restaurants, visitors were greeted with special platters at inviting prices. This was an unmissable opportunity to taste the best and freshest seafood in Matosinhos, served in generous platters for two people, for the fixed price of 60 euros.
The initiative, which took place every Thursday in the month of February, both at lunch and dinner, was a remarkable success.
This edition of "Taste Matosinhos" was not just a culinary event, but also a crucial strategy of creative valorisation of Matosinhos' gastronomy, in line with the values of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. The event reflected a harmonious fusion of tradition and innovation, highlighting local gastronomy, while creatively responding to contemporary challenges.
And, undoubtedly, the vibrant presence of all those who came to visit contributed to the success of this initiative, further highlighting Matosinhos' gastronomic panorama.
