Matosinhos makes its debut at BOOT Düsseldorf and promotes its nautical and tourist potential

The municipality of Matosinhos made its debut at BOOT Düsseldorf, one of the largest and most comprehensive events dedicated to boating worldwide. The event, recognised by boating enthusiasts, hosted approximately 1,500 exhibitors from 68 countries, spread over 16 pavilions.
With the aim of promoting and disseminating the region, Matosinhos marked its presence through its Nautical Station, an initiative that had the strategic partnership of the North Coast working group and the network of Portugal's Nautical Stations. This space served as a stage to promote the economic partners involved in this project, as well as to showcase Matosinhos' tourism products, highlighting its intimate connection with the sea.
Matosinhos' participation in BOOT Düsseldorf is another step in consolidating its tourism development strategy, which encompasses a variety of segments, such as gastronomic tourism, architectural, religious and, of course, nautical. This international presence underlines the municipality's commitment to the nautical sector, which has the potential to attract an audience interested not only in water sports, but also in experiences that value proximity to the sea.
BOOT Düsseldorf offered Matosinhos a unique opportunity to show the world its nautical and tourism potential, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable and diversified tourism, and firmly positioning itself as a reference destination in Portugal and on the international scene.
