The "Volta aos Mercados" initiative, promoted by the Municipality in partnership with the Grupo Desportivo 4 Caminhos, provided an enriching experience in Matosinhos and Angeiras. This activity, which took place from May to November, combined physical and mental exercise outdoors, allowing participants to explore and better understand the areas surrounding the municipal markets of Matosinhos and Angeiras.
This initiative was carried out monthly, where participants, whether individually, with family, or with friends, could test their orientation skills. During these journeys, they discovered points of cultural, tourist, commercial, and local production interest in the region surrounding the municipal markets.
In addition to promoting physical activity and engagement with local culture and economy, this initiative reflected Matosinhos' commitment to sustainability and creativity. By encouraging residents and visitors to explore and appreciate the city in a more active and conscious way. By promoting sustainability through outdoor activities and creativity through cultural and tourist exploration, Matosinhos demonstrated its potential as a creative and sustainable city.
