The award ceremony for the best snacks of the 12th edition of Rally Fish, a gastronomic initiative promoted by the Municipality of Matosinhos, which challenges participating restaurants to showcase their best snacks at a symbolic and accessible price for everyone, took place yesterday late in the morning at the Lais de Guia terrace/bar in Matosinhos.
It was the responsibility of the Councilor for Economic Development, Commerce, and Tourism of the Municipality of Matosinhos, Marta Pontes, to present the awards to the winners.
The 1st prize was awarded to the establishment Lais de Guia, located along the Matosinhos waterfront, for their snack “Bola de Berlim,” a brioche ball filled with tuna.
The 2nd prize went to Reserva Wine Bar, on Rua Heróis de França, Matosinhos, for their snack “More than Words,” a tuna ceviche with a popcorn topping.
The 3rd prize was given to the restaurant Bom de Boca, located on Rua D. João I, Matosinhos, for their snack “Torricado do Mar,” a traditional Ribatejo-style toast in a seafood version: toasted bread with olive oil and garlic, sautéed seafood, handmade pickles and aioli.
The 13th edition of Rally Fish featured the participation of over 60 restaurants, each presenting their fish/seafood-based snack or even a vegetarian-based one, combining tradition and innovation in cuisine.
